Michael & Serah’s Wedding at Corgi Spirits
As a photographer, I have the privilege of witnessing and capturing some of the most intimate and joyous moments in people's lives. One of the most memorable weddings I had the honor of photographing took place at Corgi Spirits in Jersey City. Though the distillery has unfortunately closed its doors, the memories of Michael and Serah’s wedding remain vibrant and unforgettable.
The ceremony was a beautiful fusion of tradition and personal touches. The chuppah, draped with delicate flowers and greenery, done by About Designs stood as a stunning focal point. As the couple stood beneath it, surrounded by their loved ones, the Rabbi led them through vows that were both deeply meaningful and personal. The intimate moments, the gentle glances, and the heartfelt words were a photographer’s dream.
The reception was a lively and joyous affair with music from Owls and Lions. Guests enjoyed Corgi Spirits’ signature cocktails during the cocktail hour, with the bartenders crafting exquisite drinks that showcased the distillery’s renowned gin. The atmosphere was electric, filled with laughter and animated conversations.
The reception space was beautifully decorated. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the hora. Capturing the energy and excitement of the guests as they lifted the couple on chairs and danced in a circle was exhilarating. The joy and celebration in the room were palpable, making for some truly dynamic and memorable photographs.
Although Corgi Spirits has since closed, the memories of that wedding continue to hold a special place in my heart. The venue’s unique charm and the love and happiness of the couple and their guests made it an unforgettable day. It’s always a loss when a beloved venue closes, but the spirit of the celebrations held there endures in the memories and photographs captured.
