Alp & Biray/ The Farmhouse Wedding

As a wedding photographer, capturing the essence of a couple's special day is always a unique and emotional experience. This time, it was even more special because the groom, Alp, is someone I've known since I was 17. Being entrusted with the task of photographing his wedding to the lovely Biray was an honor and a privilege I will always cherish.

The Farmhouse in Hampton, NJ, is a venue that perfectly balances rustic charm with elegance. Despite the rainy weather, the setting was picturesque and romantic. The rain added a soft, dreamy quality to the photos, turning what could have been a dampened day into something magical. The mist over the fields and the droplets on the leaves created a natural filter that softened the light and brought a unique, ethereal beauty to the images.

Turkish weddings are known for their rich traditions and vibrant celebrations, and Alp and Biray's wedding was no exception. The ceremony was a beautiful blend of cultural heritage and personal touches. The couple's families and friends gathered under a large, elegantly decorated tent, with the sound of raindrops gently tapping on the canvas above.

Biray looked stunning in her traditional Turkish wedding gown, intricately detailed and shimmering under the soft lighting. Alp, equally dashing, couldn't take his eyes off his bride. Their smiles and glances at each other told a story of deep love and connection, which I aimed to capture in every shot.

Knowing Alp for so many years gave me a unique perspective on capturing his special day. I knew his personality, his quirks, and what moments would be most meaningful to him and Biray. From the quiet, candid moments before the ceremony to the exuberant celebrations during the reception, I focused on telling their love story through my lens.

One of my favorite shots of the day was of Alp and Biray sharing a quiet moment under a large umbrella, laughing and holding each other close. The rain created a natural frame around them, symbolizing their love and unity in the face of life's unpredictability.
